Adolescent Reproductive Health for Nurses, Educators and People Who Work with Youth
If you are looking for updated sexual and reproductive health information, and effective ways to increase inclusivity into your classroom or clinical space, this online, on-demand series is for you. After talking with educators, nurses and people who work with youth, we have designed this series to provide an informational framework for having conversations with youth and their families about reproductive and sexual health. For those who teach sex ed, we’ve included a module on how to approach this material in the classroom.

Course graduates will automatically become part of the Adolescent Reproductive Health ECHO Program learning community which includes live case-conferences, monthly clinical pearls and the resources on this website.
NCPD: This activity has been approved for Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) credit. ECHO participants earn one credit per session attended.
CE FOR EDUCATORS: This course was designed with the potential for Colorado Educators to earn CEUs. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at end of the course with information required by the Colorado Department of Education to submit for renewal credit, if it is applicable to the educator's license. For educators outside of Colorado, please check with your local/state board to see if this activity qualifies for you.
SURVEY: You will receive survey link at the end of this ECHO series. Please be sure to complete this survey, which should take no more than 5-10 minutes. Surveys must be completed by the indicated deadline in order to receive CE credit.

MEET THE CO-AUTHORS/INSTRUCTORS
DR. ELIZA BUYERS (SHE/HER)
Dr. Eliza Buyers (she/her) is an adolescent gynecologist who has practiced in the Denver metro area for over 25 years. She is the Director of Teen and Community Programs at Boulder Valley Health Center, a community reproductive and sexual health clinic in Boulder, CO. In addition to caring for young people in the clinic, she leads their youth programs that deliver comprehensive sex ed to thousands of students each year, and the REAL Youth Council focused on Reproductive Justice, Education, Advocacy and Leadership. In 2019, Eliza created ECHO Colorado's Adolescent Reproductive Health program to expand access to reproductive health care in the pediatric primary care and community setting. This program has expanded to include an online community of practice for people who work with youth.
CAITLIN LONG (THEY/THEM)
Caitlin Long (they/them) is a sex educator with over ten years of experience working in gender-specific and social-emotional health education programming. They earned their Masters of Education in Curriculum and Teaching with an emphasis on gender and curriculum from Teachers College, Columbia University. They are a zaza/parent, experienced sexuality educator, adult facilitator, curriculum designer and public school teacher. They are an AASECT-certified sexuality educator and co-founder of re|scripted, a feminist education consulting practice. In their ten years of experience, they learned how to make it easier for people (youth and adults) to engage critically, authentically and vulnerably with each other about sex, bodies and relationships.
